Napoli have jumped ahead of the queue to sign Cesare Casadei, but they’ll have to pay full price to purchase him. Chelsea don’t want to lose money relative to what they disbursed to acquire him from Inter a couple of years ago, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Blues have demanded €15M and a percentage of a future sale for the midfielder. The Partenopei will think it over. He has logged just 424 minutes in London so far this season. The competition would be equally stiff, but he already has a previous connection with Antonio Conte. The two spent time together at Inter.
Before going all-in on Casadei, Napoli want to see if Jacopo Fazzini has fully made up his mind. Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi dished to LaLazio.com.
“The proposal by the Biancocelesti is unacceptable. I respect and esteem Claudio Lotito. We can talk it out, but their offer is no good. I don’t shut the door but, if that’s the case, I won’t sell him. Maybe it’d work better in June. He’ll resume training to be ready to play. I’m baffled that he has missed a game for his situation.”
While tending to the Casadei and Fazzini chases, Napoli remain confident Danilo will join them eventually. The relationship between him and Juventus is completely strained at this point. However, the Bianconeri could cut ties gratis as he and the Partenopei desire late in the window. The two sides will meet on the pitch on January 25th.
The Azzurri will send some cash to the Old Lady through a re-sale clause by signing Luis Hasa from Lecce. He might be loaned out to Bari down the line.
