Lewis Miley though with a long range scorcher to swiftly level.

Targett doing really well to win the penalty for Gordon to lash home early in the second-half.

Then Will Osula competing with Miley for the goal of the match award, a stunning run and finish.

Now eight NUFC victories in a row.

Match ratings

Dubravka – 7

Didn’t have much to do other than pick the ball out of his net in the first half.

Made a smart stop at his near post in the second and was generally composed when occasionally put under pressure.

Trippier – 7

Looked to probe the Bromley back line whenever he could.

Tripps did well when asked to defend, showing his quality on the odd occasion his opposite man threatened to get the better of him.

Schar – 7

Played some delightful raking passes, he also had a few go astray.

In truth, he did his job well and never really looked under pressure from the limited Bromley attack.

Kelly – 6

A couple of sloppy passes in the first half and a few weak aerial duels, lost Kelly a mark in my ratings, but again he didn’t have an awful lot to do.

Made better decisions in the second half with some calm headers back to Dubravka.

Targett – 7

Seemed to be constantly ignored when in space in the first half.

Eventually got into the game more and did well to earn a penalty early in the second half.

The difference in quality between him and Hall was obvious when he was subbed off but a solid performance.

Longstaff – 6

Made far too many errors in good positions in a frustrating first half performance.

He looked infinitely better once Bruno was introduced in the second-half.

The biggest compliment I can give him, is he continually gets into good positions, he just needs to be more decisive.

Miley – 8 (My Man of the Match)

A calm and classy performance from the young man on his first start of the season.

He capped his performance off with a fantastic strike to equalise in the first half.

For my money he’s the most promising young midfielder in the country.

Joelinton – 7

Physically dominant as ever, big Joe won the ball in favourable positions on more than one occasion.

Often managed to beat his man too, just couldn’t pick the final ball.

Almiron – 7

Always looked to be positive, which was rare in a drab first 45 minutes.

Continued to press and harry the opposition until he was subbed off in the final moments.

Osula – 8

When he sprung the offside trap and rounded the keeper, I thought Will was finally going to get his goal.

A last ditch tackle/foul denied him but he did eventually get his goal and it was well worth the wait.

He’s far from the finished article but he showed again he’s got bags of potential.

Barnes – 5

Failed to take his opportunity on a rare start.

Barnes looked keen to come in on his right whenever he could but frequently drifted too central and clogged up the play.

Withdrawn at the half, possibly after picking up a knock.

SUBS

Bruno – 8

Our captain was introduced at half-time to great effect.

I wonder whether it may have been a planned substitution given he missed the game midweek, but regardless, his presence was needed after a drab opening half.

Every touch he had was confident and positive and he helped take the game away from our opponents.

Gordon – 8

I don’t think there’s a player in the league who has more intensity and desire to affect the game than Anthony Gordon at the moment.

He worked his socks off in all phases of the second-half and took his penalty well, to put his miss at Goodison behind him.

Sanusi – 6

A respectable professional debut for the young man.

He seemed to beat his man whenever he faced them up but was guilty of trying to do too much at times.

Hopefully he’ll get further opportunities as the season wears on.

Hall – 7

He’s England’s best left-back and played like it. That’s all I need to say.

Tonali – N/A

Wasn’t on long enough to rate but did everything efficiently as always.
