Robert Lewandowski is having a fabulous season in Barcelona going purely by his numbers and is up there as one of the best in Europe in his position.
Given his age, however, it is unsurprising that Barcelona are already on the lookout for a long-term replacement especially with the Vitor Roque experiment not working out.
While Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez are seen as dream targets, Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak is seen as a serious possibility by the club who not only value his ability as a goalscorer but also as a winger.
Speaking to the media in a recent interview, Newcastle United’s Executive Director Darren Eales blatantly ruled out the possibility of them letting the in-demand striker leave at any cost and stated that they have him in their long-term plans.
“We strive, as a club, to be at the top of the table. We want our best players to be here,” he began.

“I think it shows the value of Isak that they talk about him all the time. We don’t want to move any player,” he added.
Further elaborating on their stance to not sell players, the Newcastle United executive said:
“They all have long-term contracts. We have no intention of those players leaving. We’re not under pressure or anything like that.”
Finally, Eales spoke out on how it would be ‘crazy’ for them to even consider letting players like Isak leave.
“We have a property that is ambitious and wants the best for the club. So from that perspective, it would be crazy for us to consider it.”
So far this season, the 25-year-old has 19 goals and five assists to his name in just 24 league appearances.
