Manchester United have not given up on bolstering their attack with the signing of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, according to Tuttojuve.

The France international has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Luis Enrique at PSG, and he is expected to leave Parc des Princes.

Juventus are leading the pursuit of the former Nantes man, but Tuttojuve report that United have ‘not given up’ on bringing him to Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho have been linked with mid-season exits. There is a possibility that both could depart before the winter transfer deadline.

As a result, the Red Devils could make their first official offer for Muani. It is claimed that Juventus, United and Borussia Dortmund are the leading contenders to sign him.

PSG want his permanent transfer instead of a loan deal. They appear keen to recoup funds with Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia set to join them for £59 million up front.

United could swoop for Muani if there are potential exits

The 26-year-old was one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt.

He bagged 23 goals and 17 assists from 46 appearances in his debut campaign in 2022/23.

The Frenchman joined Les Parisiens for an initial £64 million last year, but he has failed to prove his credentials to Enrique with 18 goal contributions from 54 outings.

The PSG manager has not been prepared to trust him. Muani has averaged only 44 minutes per game, and we are not surprised that he is ready to move on from the club.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have been largely inconsistent leading the line, and Muani would be a better fit. He has a tireless work rate, can create chances and score goals.

His time in Paris has been forgettable, but he remains a top-quality marksman. With PSG reluctant to send him out on a dry loan, United may need to make a better proposal.

A loan with a conditional obligation to buy could tempt them. United could negotiate a cut-price transfer, suppose Rashford or Garnacho were to leave permanently.
