Lautaro Martinez will be out against Lazio in Serie A, as his priority is to recover for the Champions League final between PSG and Inter Milan.

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has been dealing with some fitness issues for a few weeks.

The Argentine had suffered an elongation in his thigh flexors. This forced him off at halftime of the first leg of Inter’s Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona.

Martinez did rush back to fitness for the second leg. He started that match, although he did eventually have to come off during the second half.

However, not very surprisingly, that effort in the second leg against Barcelona has taken its toll on Lautaro Martinez.

The 27-year-old aggravated the thigh flexor problem that he’s been dealing with.

Therefore, Martinez will sit out this evening’s Serie A match against Torino.

Moreover, anticipates the Gazzetta, it won’t just be today’s match.

The newspaper reports that Martinez will also miss Inter’s next match. The Nerazzurri host Lazio next weekend in their penultimate match of the Serie A season.

The Gazzetta report that Martinez will not take any chances in that match.

The absolute priority is to have the Inter captain not just available, but in top form and condition for the final against PSG.
