Jess Park and Laia Aleixandri both scored in UEFA Women’s Nation League wins for England and Spain while Vivianne Miedema skippered Netherlands to victory.

Park, a substitute on the hour mark in the 5-0 win over Belgium, scored her team’s fourth goal of the evening courtesy of a beautiful finish at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate.

Earlier efforts from Lucy Bronze, Millie Bright and Aggie Beever-Jones had set the Lionesses on the road to victory before Park netted and Keira Walsh put the icing on the cake for Sarina Wiegman’s team just before the full-time whistle blew.

The result keeps England on top of League A Group 3, one point ahead of Spain who beat Portugal 4-2 away.

City defender Aleixandri scored her team’s second of the evening at Estadio Capital do Movel.

Patri Guijarro opened the scoring for the visitors on 25 minutes before the Portuguese levelled matters through Catarina Amado two minutes later.

Aleixandri pounced on 40 minutes to make it 2-1 before Claudia Pina extended the Spanish lead.

Carole Costa did reduce arrears for Francisco Neto’s team but Esther Gonzalez put the tie beyond the hosts with a late goal just before the final whistle blew.

Leila Ouahabi also played 90 minutes, alongside Aleixandri, for Montserrat Tome’s side.

Meanwhile, Miedema was captain as the Dutch defeated Austria 3-1.

Miedema played 73 minutes while sky blue compatriot Jill Roord was out on the Asito Stadium pitch for 63 minutes in the League A Group 1 clash.

January loan signing Laura Wienroither played the full 90 minutes for Austria.

Jackie Groenen sent the Dutch in 1-0 at half-time before Damaris Egurrola doubled the advantage for the hosts just after half-time at the home of Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo.

Sherida Spitse effectively put the game beyond Irene Fuhrmann’s side with a penalty on 76 minutes.

Maria Plattner pulled a goal back for the visitors in the fourth minute of stoppage time but it was too little, too late.

Miedema and Roord’s Dutch side remain second in their table with seven points from three games, level with table-toppers Germany who have a superior goal difference.

Christian Wuck’s Germans beat Scotland this evening 4-0 at Dundee United’s Tannadice Park to maintain their summit spot.
