Leeds United will be without the talents of defender Pascal Struijk in the near future, following an unfortunate injury update on Friday.
Manager Daniel Farke addressed the media before the club's upcoming clash against Sheffield Wednesday and confirmed the 25-year-old will be out for three weeks.
"Pascal Struijk reported yesterday a little awareness in his hamstring. Out of precaution we sent him to a scan, the result was a big surprise, negative," said Farke.
"He will be at least out next three weeks, have to be a bit careful and assess him pretty carefully because if he would be out for a significantly longer period, it would impact our plans.
"It’s a big blow for the next games. Hopefully it’s just three weeks."
The loss will be significant for the club, as Struijk has been a routine name on the team sheet. His 24 appearances this season also include three goals.
