A one-time Premier League title-winner has spoken of an apparently horrifying road rage ordeal he suffered. According to the former Leicester City player in question, he was almost 'rammed off the motorway' in a simply shocking incident. And an important aspect of the troubling story stuck in our minds here. The ex-England international Under-20s and 21s star was supposedly attacked because of his ties to the Foxes. Wow.

This is a truly deplorable account. But, as always, at this totally LCFC-focused website we try to assess every piece of Leicester news for our readership. So let's hear now-retired fan favourite Marc Albrighton's description of the absolutely disturbing event. Not to mention why it was said to transpire, and hopefully how he coped and copes in the aftermath.

Marc Albrighton's horrifying road rage ordeal linked to Leicester City

Not even one whole season after helping City win the league, Claudio Ranieri was sacked. Certain Foxes, including Albrighton, were unfairly blamed in the media. The winger denied the allegation. Due to his seemingly unquestionable character, I'd tend to believe him.

A lot was made of the Italian's exit; many of us in the Blue Army had mixed feelings. The over the top and unnecessary backlash from some immature external fans was pretty weird. Along with irritating and unfunny companies such as the unpalatable Paddy Power creating bizarre spectacles.

What happened to Albrighton next is unforgivable. You could argue that the unfounded abuse LCFC and its players suffered empowered the person who attacked him.

"The day the story broke I was driving back - I'd just jumped on the M69 - and as I'm driving, this car has raced in front of me. I've had to slam my brakes on. He's trying to force me off the road and, at this point, I'm doing about 30mph on the motorway. He's got his window down and he's saying 'you're a ******* disgrace'. I'm thinking 'what? How is this possible?' The story had just broken that morning. I knew nothing about it. I felt the need to call Claudio after, as well, and clear it up. He knew I wasn't involved."

Being run off the road, or an attempt, is a truly terrifying prospect that nobody should have to endure. We really do have some evil and reckless people out there to contend with. Thankfully those of us with morals outweigh them!

We all really need dashboard video cameras on board in all of our vehicles. When anything unnecessary or dangerous occurs, we must then report it to the police with said evidence.
