Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering ways to strengthen their attack in 2025, with Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting Lisbon emerging as a potential target. According to recent reports, the Swedish striker is attracting interest from two clubs, though one faces a significant hurdle.

Foot Mercato claimed PSG’s sporting advisor, Luís Campos, has expressed interest in Gyökeres and has already initiated talks with his representatives. However, head coach Luis Enrique is reportedly cautious about the move.

Meanwhile, SPORT suggests that Barcelona are weighing a €70 million bid for the forward, which could include a clause to keep him on loan at Sporting for another season.

The iPaper’s Peter Hall reports that Ruben Amorim is keen on Gyökeres, and the forward is eager to make a move to Manchester United. Sporting are open to selling him for around £60 million in the summer, but his release clause stands at £80 million if a deal is struck this month.

The Red Devils aren’t alone in their interest in the Swedish standout. CaughtOffside recently reported that Newcastle could target Gyökeres if Alexander Isak leaves, though a move is unlikely to happen during the January transfer window.

Football Transfers also mentioned last month that Arsenal are still in touch with Gyökeres as the Sweden international plans a move in the summer of 2025. Sporting are expected to sell the 26-year-old for around €65 million, with Newcastle now emerging as rivals to the Gunners in the race for his signature.
