Brahim Diaz has found a new chapter of success with Morocco, and the Moroccan national team seems equally pleased to have him.
The Real Madrid forward has become an impactful presence for his national team, proving his worth once again with two goals in just three minutes during a commanding 5-1 victory over Gabon.
His performance highlights his growing importance for Morocco, a nation he chose to represent at the start of 2024.
Brahim’s switch to Morocco from Spain was a significant moment, as he opted to play for the country of his paternal grandmother’s birth. Since then, he has established himself as an integral part of the African team.
In just seven appearances for Morocco, the forward, who is wanted by AC Milan, has delivered four goals and two assists. These impressive stats include his contributions in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, where he has been particularly effective.

Except for one match against Lesotho, Brahim has started every game since joining the team. His performances have lived up to the expectations, solidifying his position as a key player.
However, his situation at Real Madrid has been less favourable this season. A muscle injury during the fifth matchday against Real Sociedad sidelined him for nearly two months, causing him to miss five La Liga matches and three Champions League games.
With Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and Kylian Mbappe dominating Madrid’s attack under Carlo Ancelotti, Brahim has had limited opportunities to shine.
Nevertheless, his recent displays for Morocco could serve as the motivation he needs to regain his footing at Madrid. With Vinicius currently out due to injury, a chance has opened up for Brahim to make an impact.
His determination and ability to seize opportunities were evident last season when he rose from a supporting role to become a crucial figure.
Now, he aims to use his momentum from Morocco to carve out a prominent spot in Madrid’s star-studded squad.
