Real Madrid have had several golden generations over the years, and the list of legends who have represented the club’s crest is seemingly endless.

One name that stands out from that illustrious crowd, however, is Cristiano Ronaldo, as the Portuguese star will not only go down in history as one of the best Real Madrid players but one of the best players of all time.

While he ruled out returning as a player in any capacity, he left the door open to reuniting with the club in some other form.

“Returning to the Bernabeu? Maybe after the end of my football career, something might happen.”

Ronaldo then looked back fondly on his days in Spain and called them the best days of his long and illustrious career.

“My period at Real Madrid is the happiest for me in terms of football.”

The 39-year-old has been on fire for Al-Nassr this season and already has a staggering 14 goals and two assists to his name in the league in just 16 appearances. Further, he has also scored four goals in the AFC Champions League.

Day by day, the Portuguese superstar is inching closer to his eternal dream of becoming the first football player ever to hit 1000 career goals. Time may be running out given his age, but Ronaldo is not far off.
