Earlier in the year, Barcelona were dealing with Dani Olmo’s registration issues, which forced the club to seek legal measures.
However, while Barça tried their best to get Olmo registered through legal means, recent reports have revealed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had also served as a helping hand for the Blaugrana.
It appears Perez had personally called Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes, president of Spain’s Higher Sports Council (CSD), which ultimately proved the decision to grant Barcelona the registration relief.
A recent report from SPORT has now suggested that Florentino Perez did not hesitate in boasting about his role in the entire Olmo registration saga.

During the Super Cup final against Barcelona in Saudi Arabia, Perez even met Olmo in the dressing room tunnel, where he had pointed out his role in the entire saga.
While Perez’s unnecessary boasting did leave Olmo surprised, his role in the registration saga is yet another indicator of the recent bonhomie between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
It is no secret that both clubs are on the same page when it comes to the European Super League. Their togetherness has served as a major stumbling block for organisations such as UEFA and FIFA from killing the project altogether.
Nevertheless, Olmo, for his part, will be grateful to Perez for playing a key role in helping Barcelona register him earlier in the year.
