La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday been afforded a boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Luka Modrić has returned to training alongside the rest of the club’s first-team ranks.
Veteran midfielder Modrić played no part on Thursday night, as Real Madrid got the better of RCD Mallorca, to book a spot in the finale of the Spanish Super Cup.
The Croatian international missed out owing to a bout of illness, which prevented Modrić from even taking his place on the bench.
Real Madrid are primed to return to action on Sunday evening, when they face off with arch rivals Barcelona in the Supercopa showpiece.
And Modrić, it would appear, is set to be available for selection once more.
This comes amid confirmation that the 39-year-old was back in first-team training alongside Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded ranks on Friday.
Modrić is expected to take his place on the bench for Sunday’s matchup.
