Inter Milan have agreed a significant salary increase with coach Simone Inzaghi to secure his future on a new deal.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews. They report that the 48-year-old could earn as much as €10 million net per season with add-ons.

It is certainly no secret that Inter want to keep coach Simone Inzaghi at the helm.

The former Lazio coach has guided the Nerazzurri to silverware in each of his three seasons at the club to date.

And Inzaghi currently has Inter top of the Serie A table. They are also still fighting for the Coppa Italia and Champions League.

Inzaghi’s work at Inter has attracted plenty of transfer interest.

As the Corriere della Sera note, both Chelsea and Manchester United have shown an interest in bringing the Nerazzurri coach to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the newspaper report, Inzaghi is also on the radar of Arsenal as one of the top candidates to replace Mikel Arteta should the Spaniard leave.

It will be paramount for Inter to agree a new contract with Inzaghi, therefore.

Nerazzurri President Beppe Marotta has already expressed confidence on this front. He hinted that a new deal for Inzaghi is all but a formality.

The Corriere della Sera confirm that the 48-year-old will extend his contract until the end of June 2027.

And with this will come a notable pay increase.

Inter will reward Inzaghi for his work by extending his lead as the highest-paid coach in Serie A.

The former Lazio coach will earn around €7 million net per season as a base amount starting next season, reports the Corriere della Sera.

But beyond that, the newspaper note, there will also be significant add-ons in the deal.

Therefore, Inzaghi’s salary could reach as high as €10 million net per season.
