Tottenham Hotspur are making headlines once again as the January transfer window approaches its conclusion.
With just a few days remaining, Spurs are reportedly working on securing reinforcements to address their squad's mounting challenges.
The North London side has faced a turbulent season, plagued by injuries to key players, including Timo Werner, Dominic Solanke, and Wilson Odobert.
While three players have returned to training in recent days, a setback came in the form of a midfield injury during a recent session, adding further strain to an already depleted squad.
In addition to targeting new players, Tottenham remain linked with managerial candidates from within the Premier League, as questions over Ange Postecoglou’s future persist.
However, the club’s hierarchy seems to be backing the Australian for now, recognising the difficulties posed by the injury crisis and inconsistent performances.
As speculation mounts, one of Tottenham’s reported targets has emerged, hinting at a potential late move to strengthen their attacking options.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are preparing a move for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, with the 21-year-old identified as a key target.
Delap has impressed this season with eight goals and two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions, making him one of the standout young players in the league.
A former Manchester City academy product, Delap joined Ipswich Town last summer for £20 million and has since become a vital part of their attack.
His contract runs until 2029, and his performance against Chelsea in December, where he scored and assisted in a 2-0 win, further solidified his reputation.
With Chelsea also reportedly interested, Tottenham face stiff competition for the forward’s signature. However, with injuries mounting and Spurs sitting 15th in the Premier League, the club must act swiftly to secure the much-needed addition before the window closes.
Tottenham Hotspur have seen some high-profile departures over the years, with Gareth Bale topping the list. Sold to Real Madrid in 2013 for a record €101m, the Welsh winger became one of the world’s best during his six years at Spurs, though he struggled to replicate that dominance in Spain.
Harry Kane, a club legend and Spurs' all-time top scorer, follows closely at €95m. The English striker moved to Bayern Munich in 2023, a deal Spurs couldn’t refuse given his contract was nearing its end.
Next is Kyle Walker, who left for Manchester City in 2018 for €52.7m. The full-back had an excellent eight-year stint in North London before becoming a key part of City’s success.
Dimitar Berbatov ranks fourth, moving to Manchester United in 2009 for €38m. The Bulgarian forward contributed significantly to Spurs before joining United, where he enjoyed a trophy-laden period.
Finally, Luka Modric completes the list at €35m. The Croatian playmaker, sold to Real Madrid in 2012, is remembered as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders, with his time at Spurs crucial to his development into a world-class player.
