Inter will take part in the Club World Cup at the end of this season.

The Nerazzurri are one of the two Italian teams to have qualified for the competition, along with Juventus.

And it will be a different format for the Club World Cup than in years past. FIFA have expanded the competition to include 32 teams.

Moreover, the timing is different. Rather than being played in the middle of the European club season, the Club World Cup will take place at the end of the European campaign.

Inter Could Be Guaranteed €18M Revenues From FIFA Club World Cup Participation

Of course, a big motivating factor for both FIFA and the participating clubs in the new expanded format for the Club World Cup is a big increase in revenues.

The Gazzetta report that the football governing body are hoping for total revenues of €2 billion.

And that will mean high earnings for the clubs participating as well.

The Gazzetta report that Inter could bring in a minimum of around €18 million.

That would be factoring in the high costs of travel and accommodation for participation in the competition.

Then, the Gazzetta report, reaching the Club World Cup round of sixteen could be worth several million more for Inter. It could see their total earnings from the competition as high as €25-30 million.
