Roma set asking price for Marseille target Nicola Zalewski | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport, Olympique de Marseille are very interested in recruiting Nicola Zalewski (23) from AS Roma this winter. However, the writer Fabrice Hawkins outlines that the deal remains complicated for Les Phocéens.

Roma have set an asking price of €5 million for the midfielder who has made 17 appearances this season across all competitions (scoring none but assisting twice). This price is thought to be holding back the negotiations between the two teams.

Nicola Zalewski and Nicolò Fagioli in Marseille’s sights

Marseille have been in search of reinforcements in midfield during the ongoing transfer window with Ismaël Koné (22) looking on the way out. The Canadian international did not attend training last Friday and was not part of the matchday squad for the OGC Nice defeat.

This has led Marseille to consider another player plying their trade in Serie A, with the club looking at Juventus midfielder Nicolò Fagioli (23).
