Milan manager Sergio Conceicao voiced his complaints about the use of VAR in tonight’s 3-1 loss to Roma.
The Portuguese coach was shown a red card in the final minutes of the game which also saw Milan down to 10 men after only 21 minutes.
In his post-match reaction, Conceicao said, “The episodes are always negative for us and positive for the others, due to our mistakes or those of others. The VAR today is the same as Bologna: I’m not saying that the red card is not there today, but it was the same guy who was there against Bologna.”
“We are talking about a title and a place in Europe: these are details that become difficult to sustain. We tried to give our best, I have nothing to say about that. We could have won this match, I was confident.”
“Second goal on a dead ball, you can’t take it like that. We then had two scoring opportunities to equalise and in the final we ran out of fuel given the numerical inferiority.”
