‘So grateful’ – Barcelona youngster sends thank you message to Neymar | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this weekend moved to make clear his appreciation for former Blaugrana wide-man Neymar.

This comes after the pair were afforded a rare opportunity to cross paths.

Both Lamine and Neymar were in attendance on Friday evening, for the latest edition of the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The former went on to scoop his latest individual accolade at the gala, named the best ‘Emerging Talent’ in world football.

Lamine, for his part, was lavished in praise by a whole host of high-profile players past and present over the course of the evening, one of whom came in the form of the aforementioned Neymar.

The Brazilian stood, alongside Lionel Messi, as one of Lamine’s two footballing idols during the formative years of his fledgling career.

Afforded the chance to respond to Neymar during an ensuing appearance in front of the media, the Barcelona sensation, in turn, went on to explain:

“I’m so grateful to all of the legends who came here and spoke well of me, especially Neymar. I was able to talk to him. He’s been my idol since I was young and I’m so grateful to him.”
