Southampton get significant relief from favourable Premier League verdict

Liverpool boss Arne Slot was suspended with a 2-match ban against Everton. As a result, the manager wouldn't lead the Reds from the touchline when they host Southampton next.
Tell me, which is the one factor that you feel has never let down Southampton this season? For me, it's been refereeing decisions.
No, don't take me wrong. Surely, some players can be discussed here, still, one can't disagree that the officiated decisions have always been favorable for the Saints club.
You would remember when midfielder Flynn Downes escaped a direct sent-off against Nottingham. Or when in the other instance, it was Kamaldeen Sulemana who missed a red card.
Still, surprisingly, the list doesn't end. Though timid, the Saints did enjoy a moment hearing Darren Bond to officiate the matchday against Brighton.
But even if this didn't convince you, this latest one will surely do. Know what? Southampton has received the best gift ahead of their trip to Anfield next.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has been punished with a two-match game for his conduct against Everton.
The official FA statement read: "It was alleged that the Liverpool head coach acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards both the match referee and an assistant referee after the match had finished. Arne Slot admitted the charge, and the Regulatory Commission imposed a two-match touchline suspension and £70,000 fine."
Interestingly, the manager won't be available when the Reds host Southampton in the next Premier League matchday.
Now, certainly, raising hopes only based on this wouldn't make sense. Still, know what? Optimistically, this time expectations wouldn't be baseless here.
The last time, the Saints played Liverpool, they played a brilliant game, losing it in the end minutes. Maybe, in Slot's absence, the Saints can cross the barrier between a positive display and a result this time.
Clearly, little might be better than a redemption win against the table toppers in an otherwise off-track season.
