Stuttgart expect Hoeness to stay amid exit links

VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness is consistently being linked with a summer exit, with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund in particular said to be interested.

However, the Swabian club's sporting director, Christian Gentner, sees no signs that Hoeness is planning a move.

"He is thinking beyond the end of the season, also in terms of squad planning. We have the feeling that Sebastian is at VfB Stuttgart with all his heart and is driving things forward," Gentner told Sky Germany.

“It's not about a final decision. Sebastian has a contract with us. Things are settled.”

Hoeness' contract with Stuttgart runs until 2027, but reports have suggested he has a release clause valid until the end of April worth €5-6 million in his deal.
