As Real Madrid gear up for an important away fixture against Osasuna, manager Carlo Ancelotti must also keep in mind their crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester City.
Balancing the domestic league with European commitments is always a challenge, and with a narrow one-point lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid cannot afford any slip-ups in La Liga.
This makes their upcoming match against Osasuna a significant test. While Ancelotti might consider rotating his squad to keep players fresh, securing three points in the league remains a top priority.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at some key statistics that highlight what to expect from this fixture.

Osasuna have struggled historically against Real Madrid, failing to secure a victory in their last 19 La Liga meetings.
During this run, they have managed five draws but suffered 14 defeats. This is the longest winless streak they have endured against a single opponent in the club’s top-flight history.
Real Madrid have been dominant in their recent visits to Osasuna. They are currently on a nine-game unbeaten run at the El Sadar stadium in La Liga, securing six wins and three draws.
The last four La Liga encounters between these two sides have all ended in Real Madrid’s favour. In the last three of those games, they have netted four goals each time.
Osasuna have been involved in a high number of draws this season. Seven of their last 10 La Liga matches have ended level, and they currently hold the record for the most draws in the competition this season, with 10 overall.
Real Madrid have experienced a minor dip in form in recent weeks, dropping points in their last two LaLiga fixtures. They have recorded one draw and one loss in these matches.
The last time they failed to win in three consecutive LaLiga games in a single season was in November 2020, during Zinedine Zidane’s tenure.
Despite some recent setbacks, Real Madrid have been incredibly consistent in front of goal. They have managed to score in 21 of their 23 La Liga matches so far this season, making them the joint-most prolific team alongside Barcelona.

Osasuna’s Alejandro Catena was highly active in their previous match against Mallorca, registering five shots on goal.
This is the highest number of attempts by an Osasuna defender in a single La Liga game since at least the 2003/04 season, with the only exception being Oier Sanjurjo, who had seven shots against Atletico Madrid in March 2013.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. enjoys playing against Osasuna. He has scored eight goals in 10 La Liga appearances against them. This is his joint-best record against a single team in the league, equalling his tally against Valencia.
Osasuna manager Vicente Moreno has had mixed results against Real Madrid. While he won two of his first three La Liga matches against them, he has since suffered three consecutive defeats against Los Blancos.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has an impressive record when facing Osasuna. He has never lost against them in La Liga, winning six times and drawing three in nine encounters.
The only other team against whom he has managed more games without a loss in the league is Real Betis, with a record of nine matches, five wins, and four draws.
