Five members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to watch their step in the club’s next outing.
This comes amid the risk of picking up a one-game suspension.
Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action on Wednesday night.
Turning attentions back towards matters on the continent following a 2-1 downing of Rayo Vallecano over the weekend, Los Blancos will make the short trip across Spain’s capital, for a Champions League showdown with city rivals Atlético.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are currently in possession of a slender advantage, owing to a hard-fought 2-1 triumph in the tie’s first leg.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts to build on as much to ultimately book their spot in the Champions League’s quarter-finals, a quintet of Real Madrid stars will be forced to walk the disciplinary tightrope.
The players in question? Luka Modrić, Antonio Rüdiger, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Endrick.
All five are currently just one yellow card away from a European suspension, meaning another booking on Wednesday would rule them out of the first leg of a likely Last-8 showdown with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
