MATCH REPORT In a first half that began at a fast pace, Roma took the lead thanks to a long-range effort from Greggi in the 32nd minute. AC Milan quickly responded through Arrigoni, who made the most of Soffia's assist to slot the ball into the net (36'). The joy of the equaliser was short-lived, as Corelli put Roma back in front after being picked out by Viens (38'). Despite the scoreline, AC Milan were showing plenty of fighting spirit and determination.
In the second half, the Rossonere came out with renewed energy and immediately drew level in the 47th minute through Koivisto, who finished off a move orchestrated by Stokić. The Rossonere continued to press and were rewarded for their efforts in the 55th minute, when Cernoia scored with a precise effort. Roma tried to respond, but AC Milan defended with discipline while looking to hit their opponents on the break. In the final stages, despite a few scares, Bakker's team managed their lead intelligently.
