Former Blue Jason Cundy has heaped praise on Noni Madueke and made an interesting comparison to Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.
Chelsea have seemingly picked up form just at the right time and are now on a run of three consecutive league wins.
The Blues currently sit in the fifth and final Champions League place, level on points with Newcastle in fourth and just a point behind City in third, with three games remaining.
A number of players have retuned to form in recent weeks, with Cole Palmer getting back amongst the goals after a man of the match performance in the 3-1 win against Liverpool.
Another who’s impressed is Madueke, and Maresca has switched him to the left wing in the last two games against Everton and Liverpool to great effect.

Arne Slot was full of praise for Madueke and his performance against the Reds, and the 23-year-old has really improved this season.
Cundy has previously praised the England international, and he’s now made an interesting comparison to Arsenal’s Saka.
“Noni has been excellent out there [on the left wing],” he told talkSPORT.
“The thing I love about Noni is whenever he picks the ball up, he looks that way [forward]. His first instinct with his first touch, ‘How can I get beyond you? How can I get in behind you?’

“What I noticed he did against Liverpool, and he does this very well on the right-hand side, but he will come inside on his right. Most left-footers out there tend not to. Left-footers love it on the right.
“When you’ve got a winger that can go both ways and threaten, as a full-back now you’re asking questions. He does that; Saka’s one of the best, goes out on the right and comes inside. You need to threaten both [ways], Noni has been really good, really impressive.”
Despite the wingers already at the club the Blues are said to be in the market for another option in the wides areas this summer.
Estevao Willian will arrive after the Club World Cup, whilst Geovany Quenda will arrive from Sporting Lisbon in 2026.
The Blues have been linked with a number of names including Nico Williams, but the strongest links have been with Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, with Chelsea said to be leading the race.
