All focus is on the Champions League qualification race, which five Premier League clubs will be involved in the top European competition next season.

With the title decided and all three relegation spots already filled, this is really the only major show in town.

Liverpool have already claimed one of the five places and Arsenal are all but guaranteed to fill another spot.

So that leaves Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest fighting over the remaining three Champions League places.

The five competing Premier League clubs, their respective current positions (as at Thursday 8 May 2025) and then my predictions of what will happen in the remaining 13 matches in the Champions League chase:

Man City 64 points GD +24

Southampton (A), Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A)

Newcastle United 63 points GD +21

Chelsea (H), Arsenal (A), Everton (H)

Chelsea 63 points GD +21

Newcastle (A), Man U (H), Forest (A)

Forest 61 points GD +12

Leicester (H), West Ham (A), Chelsea (H)

Villa 60 points GD +6

Bournemouth (A), Spurs (H), Man U (A)

Saturday 10 May

Southampton v Man City (3pm) Man City win

Bournemouth v Villa (5.30pm) Draw

Sunday 11 May

Newcastle v Chelsea (12pm) Newcastle win

Forest v Leicester (2.15pm) Draw

Friday 16 May

Chelsea v Man U (8.15pm) Chelsea win

Sunday 18 May

Assuming my 13 match predictions come true, at the end of the season the places third to seventh in the Premier League would look like this:

71 points – Manchester City

70 points – Newcastle United
