The clock is ticking for Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou as they navigate a pivotal week that could define their season.
With a Europa League clash against Elfsborg on the horizon and the January transfer window closing soon, the North London club is under pressure to address both their on-field struggles and mounting injury concerns.
While Spurs are in a strong position to secure a top-eight finish in their Europa League group, their recent dip in Premier League form and a growing list of sidelined players have raised alarm bells.
We are eager to see how Postecoglou handles the upcoming challenges, both on the pitch and in the transfer market.
The manager’s midweek press conference promises to shed light on Tottenham’s injury crisis and their plans for squad reinforcements.

Tottenham’s squad depth is being tested to its limits as several key players remain out of action.
James Maddison missed the recent 2-1 defeat to Leicester, while Richarlison and Pape Matar Sarr were substituted early in the same game.
Ange Postecoglou told Football London regarding Pape Sarr, "He obviously wasn’t fit," underscoring Tottenham's ongoing struggle to field a fully fit squad.
Postecoglou later revealed that Richarlison had a groin issue and Sarr played despite not being fully fit.
The injury woes don’t stop there. Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson, and Wilson Odobert are all sidelined, leaving Spurs dangerously light in the attacking third.
Tottenham’s defensive line has also suffered, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven only recently returning to training after long-term injuries.
In their absence, Archie Gray, a natural midfielder, has been forced to fill in at centre-back, further exposing the team’s lack of depth in key areas.
While the transfer window nears its deadline, Tottenham are prioritising reinforcements.
The addition of a versatile forward capable of playing centrally and out wide is now deemed essential, given the team’s current reliance on Richarlison, who has struggled with injuries throughout his Spurs career.
Postecoglou’s side is also looking to bolster their defensive options despite the impending return of Romero and Van de Ven.
"There is no guarantee that the team’s injury luck will magically transform," writes a Tottenham insider, emphasising the need for further reinforcements.
With Spurs battling on four fronts, this week could determine whether they have the squad to compete or risk falling short in their ambitions.
