The 3-2 defeat at Everton marked another blow to Spurs’ season, leaving them dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Amidst the disappointment, Porro’s interaction with the travelling fans at Goodison Park revealed a deep frustration brewing among supporters.

The Spaniard’s words reflected a desire to bridge the gap, but emotions were running high. Tottenham’s injury crisis and packed schedule have only compounded their struggles.

After the final whistle on Sunday, Pedro Porro approached the away supporters to calm their frustrations, urging them to remain united with the team.

Speaking to Football London, he said: "I spoke with the fans to be together as a family."

Despite his efforts, the message was met with scepticism as tempers flared. Porro acknowledged that the team’s struggles are taking a toll on players and fans alike.

He explained that Tottenham’s participation in four competitions with a depleted squad is a unique challenge: "No excuses, but you have now the reality that there are 11, 12, 13 players for four competitions.

"I think only one other team in England (Liverpool) is in four competitions, the Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup."

The right-back also reflected on his personal experience with tough situations: "For me, in this situation, crack on, no excuses. Nothing. This is football, one day you lose, one day you win. Crack on."

Pedro Porro’s resolve shines through Tottenham’s struggles

Despite playing extensive minutes this season, Pedro Porro remains focused on his role. "It's okay because I work with the physio in the gym.

"The people outside don't understand this situation, they say Pedro you have to rest, you haven't rested. For me and Deki, we've played full minutes this season, this is normal, this is football," he said.

The 25-year-old added, "Too many games, but I'm ready. If the gaffer asks 'are you ready?', I say 'yeah, no problem'. Everything for the team, for the fans and for the club, it's the most important thing for me."

While Tottenham continues to search for answers, Porro’s dedication and leadership provide a glimmer of hope in these difficult times.
