Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi was on the verge of joining Napoli in the winter transfer window but now in-demand under Niko Kovac, the 23-year-old can imagine staying at the club.
The German attacker has started every game under new Dortmund head coach Kovac, and now Christian Falk reports that his move away from the club in the winter was pushed by the player’s former agent Ali Barat. Adeyemi has since joined Roof agency and will be represented by Giuseppe Pisano and Andreas Ottl.
Falk adds that Adeyemi feels comfortable in Dortmund and with a contract until 2027, a stay beyond the summer is entirely possible. But if Borussia Dortmund miss out on the Champions League, then that could change. A top player would have to be sold and alongside Gregor Kobel and Jamie Gittens, Adeyemi would be a sales candidate, and BVB could demand a fee of €60m including bonuses.
