Igor Tudor replies to Fabio Capello, saying he found ‘serious and capable people’ at Juventus and ‘can’t wait’ to see Gleison Bremer return to action: ‘I talk to him every day.’

Capello recently blamed Juventus and Milan, arguing that neither club have directors with clear ideas, but Tudor clearly disagreed with his former coach.

“You know I don’t read anything. I just saw what Capello said,” the Juventus coach said at a press conference on Friday.

“He’s someone I really appreciate as a coach. I learned a lot from him. Again, football is great because everyone can have their say. I’ve found serious and capable people around me. Focused and eager to do well to take Juventus where we belong.”

During his pre-match press conference on the eve of a Serie A match against Lecce, Tudor said he and his staff would assess Khephren Thuram, who returned to group training today.

The Frenchman started Tudor’s opening two Juventus matches, while Douglas Luiz only returned to group training this week, working with the Croatian tactician for the first time.

“He’s a quality player with an incredible shot and amazing vision,” Tudor said about the ex-Aston Villa star.

“It’s great to have him because he’s an important asset. Clearly, he starts a bit behind compared to those who have been working from the beginning. He’s had a few injuries this season, which is true, so he’s starting from a certain point. There are seven or eight games left, and there will be room for everyone. What matters is that he’s strong.”

Bremer is one of the players still on the treatment table in Turin as he’s recovering from a knee injury sustained in October.

Tudor already described the Brazilian as the best defender in the world and doesn’t seem to have changed his stance.

“We all know, it’s not just my opinion,” the coach said.

“It’s great to see him run. I talk to him every day. He’s getting treatment, and even if he’s not training, he’s always there giving advice and showing his personality. It’s a valuable quality. He’s an important player and we can’t wait to have him back.”

Bremer is not expected to play again for Juventus this season but could feature in the 2025 Club World Cup that begins in mid-June.
