Two miss out as Atlético Madrid name squad to face Athletic Club | OneFootball

The squad of players entrusted by the coaching staff at Atlético Madrid to get the better of Athletic Club this evening has been unveiled online.

And it features a pair of expected injury absentees.

Atlético, of course, are primed to return to action late on Saturday.

Amid ongoing efforts to keep pace with Barcelona and Real Madrid atop the La Liga table, the Rojiblancos face a tough task, in besting Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Diego Simeone calling upon a strong squad of Atlético players for the clash.

The only two absentees of note come in the form of César Azpilicueta and Koke, both of whom are sidelined at present owing to injuries.
