"Valencia CF, I Believe in You" is the phrase that sums up all the messages collected on a flag that José Luis Gayà, on behalf of the entire squad, received from Mauricio Mata, director of the VCF Academy in Houston.

"We want to convey all our trust and gratitude to the players," said Mauricio, who is currently in Valencia attending the 2nd VCF Academy Coaches Convention.

"When I told the kids I was traveling to Valencia, they asked if they could send some gifts and messages of encouragement for the players. We decided to put all their signatures and well wishes together on a flag to make it more special," he explained.

Those well wishes are summed up in one phrase: "Valencia, I believe in you"—because we know they have great confidence and talent, but above all, dedication, which means commitment and sacrifice. We are sure they will channel their strength and talent to push forward and overcome any challenges.

These messages, along with the excitement of the 300 children who are part of the VCF Academy in Houston, were personally delivered by Mauricio Mata to José Luis Gayà. The Valencia captain appreciated the gesture, expressed his determination to turn things around, and gifted several jerseys to the Valencia CF Academy in Houston in what was a very special encounter.

"Not even for a second did it cross my mind that I would get to meet the captain, because at the end of the day, Gayà is the symbol of dedication, grit, and heart. He radiates confidence that inspires our players," said Mauricio Mata.

"Gayà also helped us sign a jersey that we will display in our office, where we keep the kids' trophies. They will be thrilled to see his autograph there," he added.

At the VCF Academy headquarters in Houston, Gayà's gesture will be proudly displayed alongside other Valencia CF memorabilia, forming a small but growing museum since the academy's launch in 2020.

"We've been here for five years, and many more are still to come. We are beyond happy to have this bond with all of you. In the end, as I always say, it feels so close, like we are truly part of the family—and this time is no exception," Mauricio concluded.
