‘Very Quickly’ – Bayern Munich SD Identifies Big Celtic Threat | OneFootball

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has warned Vincent Kompany’s side to stay vigilant of Celtic’s quick counter-attacks.

Celtic are in the Champions League playoff round and they have a tough task on their hands to beat German giants Bayern Munich to qualify for the next round.

The Bhoys will welcome Kompany’s side at Parkhead tonight for their first leg of the playoffs and Celtic will be determined to put in a performance in front of their home crowd.

Eberl pointed out that Celtic are a team that play with a lot of emotion and added that Brendan Rodgers’ side give their everything while defending against opponents.

The Bayern Munich sporting director stressed that they have to prepare to deal with Celtic’s quick and direct approach and have to stay sharp to deal with the Glasgow giants’ counter-attacks tonight.

“They are a team that comes from emotion and euphoria, that throws themselves into everything that goes against the goal and play forwards with fervour”, Eberl was quoted as saying by German outlet FCB Inside.

“They are active, fast, direct and have goalscorers.

“We have to be prepared for that.

“If we lose the ball, it goes the other way very quickly, so we have to be incredibly vigilant.”

Celtic have never defeated Bayern Munich in their previous Champions League encounters and it remains to be seen whether Rodgers can inspire the Celts to change that record when they face Kompany’s side tonight.
