Pep Guardiola replied to Red Bird advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic after hearing that Kyle Walker was close to joining Milan. ‘If he said that…’

Walker is on the verge of joining the Rossoneri on a loan deal with an option to buy, and Ibrahimovic spoke about the deal on Saturday.

The former striker said the Rossoneri were verifying whether a deal was possible, but Guardiola was told something different.

A journalist informed the Manchester City coach that Ibra had said Walker was close to joining Milan, and Pep replied with just a few words: “If Ibrahimovic said that, Ibrahimovic said that.”

Ibra and Guardiola are not believed to be on good terms after the Swede spent a disappointing season under the Catalan boss at Barcelona in 2009-10.

The former striker was appointed as the Red Bird advisor in December 2023 and oversees Milan transfer operations alongside club directors.
