On Mother’s Day, AC Milan have shared an emotional video of some of the senior players receiving messages from home.

It can often get lost how relatable footballers are. Of course, at the weekend, they are the people you idolise, who represent your dream. However, away from that, they are still human beings with families and lives outside of the pitch.

So, it is nice to see occasions of footballers being humans, and Milan have shared an example of this today beautifully, sharing messages received from the mothers of some of the first team players on their Instagram.

Involved in the video was messages from the mothers of Kyle Walker, Joao Felix, Santiago Gimenez, Christian Pulisic, Tijjani Reijnders and Riccardo Sottil, and the full set of sentiments can be found below, with the players also recapping some of their favourite memories.
