Real Madrid’s opening Champions League match against Stuttgart saw the return of Jude Bellingham to the pitch.
After a spell on the sidelines, the Englishman returned to action, starting in Real Madrid’s 4-3-3 midfield setup. Although he did not feature for the entirety of the game, he was certainly an active presence on the touchline.
In fact, Bellingham displayed a candid and wholesome reaction to Endrick’s goal during injury time, which added the final gloss to the scoreline.
Endrick, who replaced Bellingham in the 80th minute, notably broke Raul’s long-standing record by becoming the youngest Real Madrid player to score in the Champions League.
Bellingham, to that end, was particularly delighted as the young Brazilian scored the late goal to make it 3-1 for Real Madrid.
After the match, Bellingham approached Endrick personally to congratulate the youngster, who also got married this week. Both embraced each other, showcasing a display of respect and affection.
The gesture from the English midfielder suggests the two already share a close bond, which is a good sign for the Real Madrid team at large.
Retaining harmony in the dressing room, after all, could go a long way in helping Real Madrid recover from a tepid start to the new season and make a strong recovery in the coming months.
Endrick, for his part, will consider it vital to receive support from more established members of the first team, as he looks to make a name for himself at the Bernabeu.
