Andre Onana 6 – Didn’t have a lot to do. Commanded his box well and came out to collect the ball during West Ham’s set-pieces. Dived the right way for Jarrod Bowen’s penalty kick but couldn’t save it.

Diogo Dalot 3 – Missed an open goal that would have given United the lead. Perhaps the miss of the season there. Lost sight of Crysencio Summerville for West Ham’s opener in the 73rd minute.

Matthijs de Ligt 4 – Held his own against Michail Antonio. Unlucky to concede a penalty in the dying embers of the match.

Lisandro Martinez 6 – Comfortable match with some astute defending. Bravely managed to carry on after he seemed to have picked up an injury in the first half.

Noussair Mazraoui 6 – Slotted in at left-back with almost no problems. Got forward whenever he could to help out Garnacho. Hopefully, his injury is not too serious

Casemiro 9 – Much better from him. Delivered a fine cross for Fernandes that the skipper should have scored from. He nearly found the back of the net in the first half with a good header but was thwarted by Lukasz Fabianski. Made amends in the second period to restore parity.

Christian Eriksen 6 – Went about his business quietly in the middle of the park. Some of his crosses from corners were brilliant.

Bruno Fernandes 8 – Ran the show for United. Could have had two assists early one with the chances he created for Garnacho. Almost got on the score sheet with a header but he couldn’t get over the ball to direct it. He was also good in possession.

Marcus Rashford 4 – Barely did anything. Simply didn’t turn up or bring anything to the side and it was not a surprise that he was the first to be taken off.

Alejandro Garnacho 5 – Very wasteful. Had two good early chances but missed both. Tried to make things happen in the first half but faded from the game as time went by.

Rasmus Hojlund 4 – Very quiet in a game teeming with goalscoring opportunities. Apart from the single time Garnacho crossed to him, he didn’t at all test Fabianski.

Substitutes

Amad Diallo 7 – Tried to inject some impetus into the game. Played a big role in United’s equaliser and also fired one or two other shots from distance.

Joshua Zirkzee 7 – Got an assist for Casemiro’s goal.

Victor Lindelof 5 – Was on the pitch for a very limited period
