Charlotte FC star winger Wilfried Zaha has fired back at club supporters in the wake of The Crown's 1-0 home loss against New England Revolution yesterday.

Despite a wealth of chances for Dean Smith's outfit to book all three points at Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte missed a golden opportunity to keep pace with a hot FC Cincinnati at the top of the Eastern Conference table.

After being blanked on the scoresheet, the former Crystal Palace ace was in for some heavy criticism, with the 32-year-old taking to social media to respond in kind.

Despite the loss, Charlotte has looked every bit of a side capable of challenging for top spot in the East before the MLS post-season.

As for Zaha, the Ivorian has registered two goals and zero assists in eight appearances since arriving in North Carolina.

Was his response justified or do fans have a platform to stand on?
