Rasmus Hojlund has reportedly landed on the radar of several Bundesliga clubs despite his struggles at Manchester United.
Hojlund heads into the international break breathing a sigh of relief as the Denmark international ended his 21-game goal drought for United at Leicester City on Sunday.
However, question marks remain over his calibre to lead the Red Devils’ frontline, with the 22-year-old managing just three goals in 24 Premier League appearances this season.
According to TBR Football, Hojlund ideally wants to stay and fulfill his potential in Manchester but he is open to a fresh start elsewhere.
It is claimed that his representatives are “already working on potential summer landing spots” for the Dane, who only moved to Old Trafford in a big money deal from Atalanta two years ago.
His reputation in Italy still remains good and a number of Serie A clubs, including Napoli and Juventus are keeping an eye on his situation.
Further, three clubs in the Bundesliga are also understood to be keen on signing Hojlund.
Xabi Alonso-led Bayer Leverkusen want to sign the United star. Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the Mancunians are interested in Leverkusen number nine Victor Boniface.
RB Leipzig are also monitoring Hojlund as they prepare to lose Benjamin Sesko this summer, with the Slovenian attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
It is added that Champions League-chasing Mainz are also interested in the United man.
Even though multiple Italian clubs are prepared to hand him a lifeline, Hojlund is thought to be open to the prospect of moving to Germany.
Fellow striker Joshua Zirkzee has lately impressed with his technical prowess and can play in different positions under Ruben Amorim. As such, United are likely to welcome the sale of Hojlund and replace him with a more reliable goalscorer.
