Nathan Ake says Savinho is a ‘very, very big talent’ as he called on the wing wonder to continue hitting high levels for City.

Savinho, just 20-years-old, has been in fine form of late, scoring one and assisting the other in the 2-0 away victory at Leicester as well as setting up three in the 4-1 Etihad Stadium triumph over West Ham.

Pep Guardiola waxed lyrical about the Brazilian baller post-match against the Hammers and Ake was equally ebullient about the dangerous wide man after the game too.

“You could see straight away when he came in that he is a very, very big talent,” Ake said.

“He is very good on the ball and you could see that today with the dribbling and the directness. The assists he had as well.

“It is great and hopefully he can keep it going because he deserves it.

“Today again he showed his talent. He can play all positions upfront and he is very technical.

“He is a good guy and hopefully he can keep it going.”

As for the result, our second win in as many games after a tough run of form, Ake was delighted and called on the Blues to build momentum now as we look for a positive 2025.

“Very important,” added Ake.

“We are very happy with the win today. That’s two in a row so hopefully we can start to build now.

“The best way is to win games. I think with that the performance will get better and better. People will come back from injury and form will come back.

“I think now we can hopefully start to build. The only thing we can do now is to keep building and winning.

“We started well in the last couple of games and hopefully now we can start to get our form back, get players back from injuries and start to build.

“There is a long way to go and we just have to go game by game.

“I think overall to win 4-1 against a good side at home is always good.”
