Approach made: Liverpool have asked about €40m transfer as star cleared to leave | OneFootball

Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry about Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as he’s likely to be on the move in this summer’s transfer window.

The Frenchman could be available for around €40m, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, but it seems the player himself would prefer a move to Saudi Arabia.

So far, Liverpool’s interest is not advanced, but there is some interest from the Reds, while CaughtOffside have also previously been told about Arsenal and Newcastle being keen on him as well.

Coman could be a useful squad player for Liverpool, but it’s hard to imagine him being more than that at this stage of his career.

The 28-year-old has not been at his best for a while now, even if he’s generally had a great career at the highest level.

Coman is said to be available for around €40m, but it’s hard to imagine European clubs paying quite that much for him at the moment.

Saudi teams have more money to burn, however, so that makes sense as a likely next destination for the former Juventus man.

We’ve seen plenty of big names moving to the Saudi Pro League for big money in recent times, and it’s easy to see how this move could benefit all parties involved here.

Liverpool could have concerns out wide as Mohamed Salah nears the end of his contract, so there could be room for someone like Coman to come in as cover, though there might be younger and more affordable options.
