Both Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane.
The former Manchester City man is out of contract with Bayern at the end of this season and is yet to agree on a new deal with the club.
And Sky Germany say both Arsenal and United are keeping an eye on the 28-year-old’s situation.
Bayern are said to want to reduce the former Premier League star’s salary by two to four million euros gross.
But the report claims that “both the player and the club are currently optimistic that a contract extension will come about” despite failing to reach an agreement as of yet.
A January move for the forward has also reportedly been ruled out.
Sane has scored three times in 11 games in all competitions this season but has struggled to nail down a regular starting place for the German giants.
He previously worked under Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta while he was assistant to Pep Guardiola at Man City.
