Arsenal ‘building their team’ with Real Sociedad star in mind | OneFootball

A fresh insight into the saga linking Real Sociedad star Martín Zubimendi with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal has on Sunday been provided.

The name of midfielder Zubimendi has of course long been a prominent one in the headlines in Spain and England alike.

This comes after widespread reports surfaced that an agreement is all but in place, for the 26-year-old to make the move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Recent weeks had seen it suggested that a deal was perhaps not quite as much of a sure thing, with Real Madrid having also positioned themselves in the fray for Zubimendi.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word to have surfaced on Sunday is anything to go by, then the Arsenal faithful need not fret.

Speaking during an appearance on The Athletic podcast, transfer insider David Ornstein assured:

“Arsenal are expecting him to arrive in the summer. Internally, they seem to be working on the basis that Zubimendi will be coming in and they’ll be building the team with him in there.”
