There were seven Premier League fixtures taking place on Saturday.
Here's how they went down.
Scorers: Pedro 60' ;Nwaneri 17'
Brighton held Arsenal to a draw at the AMEX Stadium as they dropped more points in the title race.
It was Arsenal who began the game on the front foot, seeing plenty of the ball while the hosts appeared keen to pick them off on the counter-attack.
After just 16 minutes, that early pressure paid off as Ethan Nwaneri ran beyond the Brighton defence before calmly slotting the ball home and putting the visitors ahead for just his second Premier League goal.
Brighton began to see more of the ball, with Simon Adingra looking like the most likely source of joy for the Seagulls.
They could not create anything of note though as the first half wore on, and though Bart Vebruggen was only called into action once Arsenal remained firmly in control of the encounter.
Both sides made changes at half-time, but the game continued in a similar vein in the opening stages after the break.
But just before the hour mark, Brighton were handed a lifeline as William Saliba missed his header and instead headed João Pedro, who dusted himself off to send it past Raya from 12 yards out.
As Arsenal looked to push to re-take the lead, the game took on an increasingly scrappy nature, with Brighton looking the more threatening of the two sides.
Kaoru Mitoma went close for the hosts as it became increasingly frenetic on the South Coast, with Thomas Partey heading over from a free kick at the other end.
But neither side could find a winning goal, and both were left ruing missed chances as the Gunners gave up yet more ground in the race for the Premier League title.

Scorers: Coufal OG 10', Haaland 42', 55', Foden 58'; Füllkrug 71'
Manchester City registered their first back-to-back league victories since October with a routine 4-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola's side took a 10th minute lead in fortuitous circumstances when Savinho's low drilled effort from the left squirmed into the net with the aid of a big deflection from Vladimír Coufal.
Shortly before half-time, Julen Lopetegui's team talk was made even harder when a deep far post cross from Savinho was met by Erling Haaland with a towering header to net in successive games for the first time in three months.
His second of the game arrived 10 minutes after half-time when Savinho again played provider, benefiting from not being closed down to play the Norwegian in on goal and he calmly chipped up over the sprawling Alphonse Areola.
Within moments, they added a fourth and looked much more like their old selves thanks to Phil Foden, who capitalised on a defensive error to score after Kevin De Bruyne teed him up.
West Ham did muster up a consolation that their efforts did merit when Niclas Füllkrug swept home stylishly to score his second of the season.
City move to within two points of the top four with the win and the Hammers stay 13th.
Scorers: Mateta 82'; Palmer 15'
Chelsea's winless run extended to four games as a late Crystal Palace goal at Selhurst Park forced the visitors to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw.
Aiming to bounce back from successive losses, Chelsea got off to the perfect start at Selhurst Park when Jadon Sancho showcased some silky footwork down the left flank before teeing up Cole Palmer to score his 13th of the campaign.
After Eberechi Eze spurned a glorious gilt-edged chance for an equaliser in the second half, he made amends with eight minutes left by unselfishly teeing up Jean-Philippe Mateta for one of the easiest finishes of his career to secure a draw.
With just two points from the last 12 on offer, the Blues' grip on a top four spot has weakened, while the home side sit 15th with the point.
Scorers: Barkley 58', Bailey 77'; Mavididi 65'
Aston Villa got back to winning ways with an edgy 2-1 win at home over Midlands rivals Leicester City.
The most notable moment of a scoreless first half saw Unai Emery's injury issues continue when they lost captain John McGinn to a hamstring problem.
Without their skipper, Ross Barkley stepped up to the fore by thundering a low strike in from the edge of the area after a poor Jannik Vestergaard clearance.
The lead lasted less than 10 minutes before the Foxes hit back, Stephy Mavididi netting from close range after Jamie Vardy's initial effort was saved.
However, Villa won it when Leon Bailey ended his 29-game wait for a goal by turning a low cross home after James Justin's costly attempt to play out from the back.
Despite the win, the Villans stay eighth, while Ruud van Nistelrooy's men remain two points from safety.
Scorers: Brooks 77'
Bournemouth set a new Premier League record of eight straight games unbeaten with a 1-0 win over Everton at the Vitality Stadium.
Jordan Pickford was twice called into action to make big saves either side of half-time to keep out Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo to keep things level.
But just when it seemed his heroics would be enough to secure a point, a sumptuous cushioned volley from David Brooks finally broke their resistance to win it for the Cherries.
They stay just a point behind champions Manchester City with the win, while the Toffees remain 16th, two points above the drop zone.
Scorers: Schade 7', Mbeumo 65', (PEN) 71', Lewis-Potter 90+3', Wissa 90+5'
A superb Bryan Mbeumo performance saw Brentford ease to a comfortable 5-0 victory away to struggling Southampton.
The Bees got off to the perfect start in their pursuit of a first away win of the season when Mikkel Damsgaard slipped Kevin Schade in behind the defence in the opening minutes and he kept a cool head to find the net.
A VAR check on the hour mark denied the Bees another when a Sepp van den Berg header from a corner ended up beating everyone but was ruled out for a foul in the area.
They finally got the goal to kill the contest off through the in-form Bryan Mbeumo, who lashed home furiously after Yoane Wissa played him in on the left and added another from the penalty spot shortly afterwards.
In injury-time, Mbeumo then turned provider for Keane Lewis-Potter to slide home a fourth in injury-time and not content there, Wissa chipped in with a fifth to make it the club's biggest ever Premier League win.
Victory sees the Bees move into the top half. Southampton, meanwhile, remain adrift at the foot of the table - 10 points from 17th.
Scorers: Solanke 4'; Gordon 6', Isak 38'
Newcastle fought back from an early setback to defeat Tottenham 2-1 in an exciting affair in north London.
Despite starting with a goalkeeper making his competitive debut for the club at the age of 25 and suffering from a sickness bug in the camp, Spurs struck for the opener with just four minutes on the clock.
Returning Newcastle defender Sven Botman, back in after 10 months out, couldn't keep Dominic Solanke quiet as he stooped to head into the corner of the net.
However, within two minutes, the Magpies levelled in controversial fashion when Anthony Gordon rifled past debutant Brandon Austin, although Spurs were furious that a handball from Joelinton in the build-up was not deemed a foul.
Seven minutes before half-time, Newcastle struck for their second to take the lead when a Jacob Murphy cross was diverted onto Alexander Isak to steer home and find the net for a seventh straight game.
After the break, Spurs almost managed an equaliser when Martin Dúbravka saved low to his left and Brennan Johnson drilled the follow-up against the post but that, and a late six-yard box flurry, were as close as they came to rescuing a share of the spoils.
Eddie Howe's men move level on points with fourth placed Chelsea with the victory, while Spurs stay 11th.
