Arsenal tipped to launch €75m bid for Barcelona star | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is attracting admiring glances by way of the Premier League.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who, citing English sources, point towards Jules Koundé as the player in question.

Defender Koundé has for his part of course played a starring role for Barcelona across the season to date.

One of the first names on the team sheet of boss Hansi Flick, the Frenchman has racked up 49 appearances across all competitions.

Not only that, but, along the way, Koundé has chipped in with three goals and a hefty eight assists.

And as alluded to above, such ongoing excellence on the part of the former Sevilla man has evidently not gone unnoticed in the Premier League.

This comes amid claims that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have joined London rivals Chelsea in expressing a keen interest in Koundé’s signature.

As per Sport:

‘Arsenal sounded out Koundé a few months ago. From England it is pointed out that they would be in a position to make an economic offer close to 75 million euros.’

Not only that, but it is suggested that the defender himself would be open to a potential Gunners switch, ‘if an important offer capable of satisfying all parties arrived’.
