Inter Milan and Napoli are among the clubs courting Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Tomiyasu has been linked with leaving Arsenal after struggling to cement a regular role in Mikel Arteta’s plans, with the Japan international starting just 10 league games in 2023/24.
A knee injury has delayed the defender’s start to the current campaign with Tomiyasu having missed the club’s pre-season tour of the United States and opening fixtures of the season.
Arsenal added Riccardo Calafiori to their defensive options in the summer window and Tomiyasu’s future appears uncertain.
According to Calciomercato, Inter and Napoli are open to bringing the defender back to Serie A.
Tomiyasu made 64 appearances for Italian side Bologna before his £16m move to North London in 2021. Arsenal will be reluctant to lose the 25-year-old, whose versatility is a real asset to Mikel Arteta given his comfortability at centre-back and in both full-back positions.
However, a suitable offer could be accepted should the defender express a desire to move on in search of more regular opportunities.
