Arsenal will welcome Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday evening as both sides look to get the better of each other in the Premier League. The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw away at Liverpool recently. In contrast, the Magpies earned a solid 2-0 win over Chelsea last weekend which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.
Mikel Arteta will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and could ask his men to dominate possession and engineer some decent chances in the final third.
Eddie Howe will set his players up in a 3-4-2-1 formation and might instruct them to defend their lines and try to expose the opposition’s defensive weaknesses on the counter.
Arsenal
Mikel Merino is suspended for this game. Furthermore, Jorginho (chest), Gabriel Jesus (knee), Gabriel Magalhaes (hamstring) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) are all sidelined for the Gunners ahead of this clash against the Magpies.

Key Men
Arsenal
Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard would have to carry most of the creative burden for Arsenal in the final third. The defensive performance of William Saliba and Jakub Kiwior could go a long way in determining the fate of this clash.
Alexander Isak will once again be Newcastle’s best hope for a goal this weekend. Both Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes need to be at their best if the Magpies are to come away with a positive result from the Emirates this Sunday.
