Arthur Melo, new Girona player | OneFootball

Girona and Juventus have reached an agreement whereby Arthur Melo joins on loan until the end of the season.

The Brazilian midfielder, now a new red and white player, has a long and brilliant career in some of the best teams in Europe.

Born in Goiania 28 years ago, Melo began his professional career with Gremio of Porto Alegre in his native Brazil. His talent caught the attention of European leagues and in the summer of 2018 he signed for Barça. With the azulgrana club he played two seasons winning a League and a Spanish Super Cup. In 2020 he signed for Juventus in Italy, where he currently plays. After two seasons with the Turin team he was loaned one year to Liverpool and another to Fiorentina.

International with Brazil

The new Girona player has been international with the canarinha with the U-17, U-20 and senior national teams. He won the Copa America with the Brazilian first team in 2019.

Highly technical player with great vision

Arthur Melo is a very talented player who stands out, among other things, for his exceptional ball control, which allows him to keep possession under pressure and dribble with great precision. His ability to read the game and distribute the ball effectively is another of his virtues. His passes, both long and short, are highly accurate. Although Melo is an attacking midfielder, his ability to position himself correctly allows him to be a key player in both playmaking and recovery.
