Barcelona €180 million-rated rising star’s contract renewal is on track – report | OneFootball

In the coming hours, Barcelona are expected to announce the contract renewals of two defenders – Ronald Araujo and Gerard Martin.

Both players have signed their new contracts earlier today and the only thing remaining is an official announcement from the club.

In the coming days, the Blaugrana are set to follow up with the extensions of the Golden Boy midfield duo of Pedri and Gavi, with agreements over new deals for both already reached.

Barcelona have Lamine Yamal’s renewal on track

Once that is out of the way, the focus will shift to star wonderkid Lamine Yamal, who will be turning 18 years old in a few months and has a contract that expires in 2026.

And, according to SPORT, Barcelona have the situation under control, with the generational La Masia talent’s renewal understood to be well on track.

Barça have a pact with Lamine’s agent Jorge Mendes, to renew his contract until 2030 when the youngster turns 18 years old.

However, given the growth he has experienced over the past year, the Blaugrana are eager to offer him a better contract with an improved salary.

Mendes, for his part, has already confirmed that the teenage sensation’s contract extension will take place sooner rather than later.

“The Barcelona fans can rest assured that the best young player in the world, and the best player in the world for the coming years, will sign for Barcelona,” Mendes said in a recent interview.

“I don’t know when, but it will happen, and it can happen at any moment,” he added.

Once the announcements of Araujo and Martin’s renewals are done, Barcelona will finalise the deals for Gavi and Pedri, before moving to Yamal, with the situation very much under control.
