It is no secret that Barcelona are openly scouring the market for reinforcements, especially in the attacking unit.
The club have identified the goalscoring department as a key weakness, especially with Robert Lewandowski being the only real goalscorer.
Barcelona, therefore, are on the hunt for a long-term replacement for the Polish international, with recent reports pointing towards Alexander Isak being the top target.
However, sources have told Barça Universal that the Catalans are not exclusively looking at the European market, in their bid to find a replacement for Lewandowski.
In fact, Barcelona are closely following MLS’ newest attacking gem, Julian Hall. The youngster from New York Red Bulls has been identified as a potential long-term replacement for Lewandowski.

At just 16, Hall has made waves with his performances in the youth competitions. But more importantly, he has become a key asset for the NY Red Bulls first-team as well, racking up 12 competitive appearances.
Given his age, though, Hall has a long way to go before he can establish himself as a permanent star in the MLS, let alone Europe.
But the youngster has indeed shown immense potential in these early parts of his career and could, therefore, be an excellent long-term addition to the Barcelona setup.
Barcelona’s objective will be to sign Hall as part of the academy, where he can have exposure to the club’s style of play and eventually grow into a more refined centre forward.
Interestingly, Hall does have Polish heritage, although the youngster has featured predominantly for the US national youth teams.
